A gateless gate is an interesting discovery. Although there is a physical gate and no fence, it's still gateless. Do you casually note it, take a quick picture, and move on? Or perhaps walk through it. Or perhaps pause and give yourself some space to truly experience the moment?

If you are in the area, a fun thing to do is to cross the border into Boquillas, Mexico, from Big Bend National Park. This is a pedestrian border crossing only. To cross the Rio Grande into Mexico, there is a rowboat ferry service available for a nominal fee. Several transportation options are available for hire, including riding on donkeys or in the back of pickup trucks to access the village from the river landing. Personal experience has found it an easy to walk to the village.
Situated on U.S. Route 90 in Jeff Davis County, Texas, Prada Marfa is a permanent sculpture installation by artists Elmgreen & Dragset. It is roughly 26 miles northwest of Marfa and 1.4 miles northwest of Valentine. On October 1, 2005, the installation's official opening was held at a Prada storefront that functioned as a freestanding structure.

Impermanence.
Serviceberry trees, also known as juneberries, are deciduous trees or shrubs found throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
